DIY Beaded Bra Straps
In many of today's fashions, beaded bra straps are visible, and acceptably well, a remarkable change in recent years. Still, simple bra straps are less attractive than those that shine and sparkle. Beaded bra straps are of two types: those that are permanently attached to the bra and which are removable. This article focuses on creating removable (and therefore more versatile), but the straps includes notes on how to replace fixed (attached) bra straps. With either method, the bra straps are not adjustable once you've finished.
Pair of removable bra straps convertible bra (to use their accounts with the straps) resistant fabric strips 3/8-inch needle beads
Get a pair of removable bra straps. You can use the removable belt clip that came with your convertible, or you can buy a pair of detachable bra straps. The clear plastic are popular and cheap --- a good choice, because you will destroy the belt and just want to hook ends. Removable bra straps can be found at most fabric stores, online and in major retail stores.
Note: A convertible bra is designed with removable bra straps and usually can be used with or without straps. The straps can be used on the shoulder or halter style, and so on.
Cut strips of hook fastener. All I want is that the hooks. For two belts, which have four hooks.
Note: The hooks are the pieces that connect removable straps for a bra convertible bra. Your convertible bra straps you will use will already have accounts with fabric loops to attach removable bra straps.
Cut two strips of strong fabric that are about 1 1 / 8 inches wide and the length at which you use your support, more inches of 1 1 / 2. Use any color fabric you want. If you want the fabric is released, use that best match what you plan to wear the straps. You can also consider using a fabric of flesh so that the tone of departure is the center of the design.
Tip: If you want a still very delicate fabric, you cut four slots: two beautiful fabric shown and two more resistant fabric to go under the fabric pretty. Sew strips of fabric very directly on top of sturdy canvas straps across the back, near the edge. Treat each piece in layers as a single strip.
Fold a strip in half lengthwise, with the right (front) side of the fabric on the inside, and sew the long side with a 3/8-inch seam allowance. Repeat for the second strap.
Turn the belt inside. It should be 3/8-inch wide and long enough to go through his shoulder with 1 1 / 2 inches to spare.
Turn on both ends, pushing just enough material inside the tube so that you can sew the ends closed and neat, have two extremes. You still should have some spare length.
Repeat for the second strap.
Pass the ends of each strap through the hook until the length of the belt is the exact measurement needed to go through his shoulder, and then attach the strap ends into the seam hooks. Now you have the basic beaded bra straps ready for tough game.
On the other hand, if you prefer fixed normal beaded bra straps, cut the straps of a non-convertible (regular) bra, then sew those new to the beaded bra straps directly, replacing its original belts.
Use the needle and thread that matches the starting material for sewing the horn across accounts. Choose grains that are approximately 3 / 8 inch long. Sew each ball across the width of the belt, placing the ball as close to each other. This technique completely covered by the bra strap.
Moreover, sewing accounts with gaps between them, if you want the tissue underneath to show through. This could be especially true if you're using a glossy or metallic material.
You can also sew on a variety of accounts to create designs.
